• Executive Director – Georgina Centre for Arts and Culture (GCAC)

    The Georgina Centre for Arts and Culture is an enriching, inclusive, and contemporary gathering place that promotes arts and culture as a cornerstone of community and creative development.

    Under the direction of the GCAC Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the GCAC towards achievement of its mission and vision. Responsibilities will include safeguarding of the GCAC collections and records, promotion of the GCAC, programming, scheduling exhibits and events, financial management and budgeting, management of staff and volunteers, achievement of the requirements of the Arts Programming Services Agreement with the Town of Georgina, and grant writing and fundraising.

    The successful candidate will have progressive management experience, preferably in a not-for-profit, charitable organization in the arts field. The successful candidate will have experience in managing budgets, experience in writing grant applications, strong oral and written communication skills, be able to manage and develop a highly cohesive team, have excellent organizational skills, be prepared to develop innovative marketing strategies, be mission-driven and have an unwavering commitment to excellence.  Non-profit experience is an asset.

    The location of work will be the GCAC located at 149 High Street, Sutton West, ON. Salary will be commensurate with experience in the range of $57K to $60K. Hours are negotiable with a 30 hour work week as a minimum and will include some evenings and weekends.
